We may think money, or getting more of it, is the most important thing in our life. And for most of us it is very important. What, though, even if we have all the money we actually need but we don't have good health? In fact, we may be dealing with several health problems, and one or more of them serious ones. In that case, isn't health more valuable to us than money? And what if we have both of these, both good health and a degree of wealth, and yet we hate our job with all its stress, or our kids are not behaving as they might, or we don't get on with our spouse? Perhaps it's actually happiness that we most long for, as a continuing, daily experience. After all, isn't it happiness above all else that we want for our children and other loved ones?
By now, you've almost certainly heard of a law that is claimed to be the most fundamental law of the universe, more truly universal than even the law of gravity. Would you, then, be interested in harnessing the Law of Attraction to bring you more of what you truly want in life? Because an understanding of it is fundamental to knowing how to go about attracting that prosperity you've so far been missing out on.
You know that physics tells us everything is made of energy - in fact, it is energy. And from it all things that exist have taken form and are vibrating at a level ranging from low to high, depending on whether, for example, they're a rock or a police siren. Making an important point, John Assaraf says: "The simplest way for me to look at the law of attraction is if I think of myself as a magnet, and I know that a magnet will attract to it." But "what most people don't understand is that a thought has a frequency. We can measure a thought. And so if you're thinking a thought over and over and over again....as Dr Joe Vitale says, "that magnetic signal is drawing the parallel back to you."
To give yourself any chance, then, of harnessing the law of attraction you have to find some way of dealing with your all those negative thoughts. And just how do you do that? Well, first of all, let's look at how you don't do it. If you get worried, frustrated, annoyed, guilty about those thoughts, you're resisting and, as the great psychologist Carl Jung said: that which you resist, persists and, as a consequence, keeps you stuck in the same rut. Any attempt to stop your thoughts will likely get you nowhere.
Fortunately there's an easier way, says Marci Shimoff, it's our feelings. Our feelings let us know what we're thinking, something that the writings of Esther and Jerry Hicks make very clear.Basically, what they're saying is, there are really only two kinds of feelings: good and bad. And if you're feeling bad it's the thoughts you're thinking that are making you feel that way. If, however, you're feeling good, their advice is just to keep on thinking the way you presently are and more of those good feelings will come into your life.
To actually start on harnessing the law of attraction, check up every little while on how you're feeling, and, if you don't like what you're feeling, turn your attention to something else, something much more pleasant, uplifting even. It might be a happy occasion in your past, a beautiful piece of music, a treasured photo that re-connects you with joy, a family pet whose play can be both fun and enchanting.....
And, finally, take a moment to read, and later to act on, the following words of Rhonda Byrne:"To stop negative thoughts, just plant good thoughts! Deliberately plant good thoughts! You plant good thoughts by making it a daily practice to appreciate all the things in your day. Appreciate your health, your car, your home, your family, your job, your friends, your surroundings, your meals, your pets, and the magnificent beauty of the day..... Every time you say "Thank you" it is a good thought! As you plant more and more good thoughts, the negative thoughts will be wiped out. Why? Because your focus is on good thoughts, and what you focus on you attract." Her book, The Secret, has a huge amount of useful material in it.
