The LG 50PC1D 50 Inches Of Quite Good Plasma TV

Categories
Home/Family

Ask anyone that has watched the many channels that Digital TV provides and they will tell you it's now a "can't-do-without" ingredient in their lives. The taste of the pudding is in the eating obviously -- anyone who gets a taste of the powerful channels available on Digital TV can't imagine not having one. Reasons avail to why many now prefer Digital TV to Cable TV.

With Digital TV you also have access to information as well as the usual everyday channels. As a user of Digital TV, it's obvious that I just can't live anymore without the various channels that come with the subscription. I wish I was a still a child during this age of Digital TV as I could have access to as many of the channels they now have access to.

Cost isn't a problem to people as far as Digital TV is concerned. Digital TV is much more affordable to subscribers than Cable TV. This is where most people just don't get it. They just can't see why more should cost less.

As you can see, it just doesn't make any iota of sense to keep using Cable TV when Digital TV is much more powerful, yet more affordable. Who wants to keep watching the same variety of channels/programs all the time (as is the case of Cable TV) when they can easily watch many more with Digital TV With Digital TV subscription, subscribers can watch lots and lots of channels in different categories of their choice. Digital TV outsmarts Cable TV in this and many other aspects.

This is all well and good but what practical difference to our lives does all of this make as far as the LG 50PC1D Plasma TV is concerned.

The 50PC1D is a 50in Plasma TV and the prices for these would be in the region of 1500 pounds sterling or 3000 US dollars. The resolution of the screen is 1366 X 768 and with regards to being HD Ready the answer is yes. The LG has 3 (2 RGB) scarts and the type and number of Multimedia interfaces the 50PC1D uses is HDMI and 2. The type of Tuner for this TV is Analogue and Digital and the LG is available from a wide variety of outlets.

All these points being taken into consideration, how would we view the LG 50PC1D?

Well to start with our score for the picture quality is 6, next we would look at the sound quality and our view of this would be 8. With regards to the availability and number of relevant connections, our score would be 8. With regards to the overall level of features, our view would be 8 and for ease of use and overall value for money we would give it, 6 and 6 respectively.

Taking everything into consideration our overall view of the package would be that the overall performance of this Plasma we felt was rather good if not let down slightly by a noisy picture but on the other hand compared against similar machines this is on the cheap side so that has to be a plus also.

It is extremely unlikely given the variety and range of makes and models available that you will not be able to find something to match your tastes or budget. You could either opt for one of the more cutting edge newer options available or stay safe and go for one of the more established options available. Either way we hope that by reading this short article you should have a slightly more informed view of the options available to you
