Web Design for Villa Owners

Back in the early days of the internet you could not find any private villas to rent everything was still done through your local travel agent. If you wanted a holiday you would have to go to your travel agent, tell them where you wanted to go and they would search their database for you. Now it is a different market things have changed dramatically. You no longer have to leave your house in order to find a holiday you can book flights, accommodation, car hire and travel insurance from the comfort of your own home. The internet has made private villa holiday all the more accessable to the average holidaymaker.

This is the main reason it is all the more important to embrace the internet revolution if you have a holiday home abroad that you are trying to rent out. There is an abundance of villa rental sites out there that will only too happily take your money, guarentee you the world and you get maybe one or two enquiries throughout the whole year. Imagine though you could by pass this stage and manage the rental of your own property yourself.

Web Design is a varied and complicated measure as you have to make your website search enigne friendly and also as user friendly as possible. Put yourself in the situation of a potential customer if you go to a website and cannot find your way around it how long would you stay on that site? Not very long I imagine.

At this stage you basically have two options. Firstly you could attempt to build a website of your own. Now this would be the ideal solution for you if you have an abundance of time on your hands and are will to spend about five or six hours a day updating the site and making sure you are getting the right sort of links to the site, checking the search engine listings you are recieving and making sure that you make the right changes to your website. It is a matter of trial and error to see what the changes do to your search engine listings. This can take up an awful lot of time. It is very rewarding but can also be a very frustrating time.

Your second option would be to hire a company to do all the work for you, build the website, update the website, and make sure you are getting the listings on the search engines that you need.

That would cost thousands I hear you saying!!!

Not if you do your research properly. There is an awful lot of companies out there that will take your money and build you the normal template driven website, submit you to the search engines and then forget about you. There are however companies out there that do have some integrity.

Now when I got into this business it was a cut throat industry but there are some companies that are in it for the long term, build relationships with their customers and look for a long term commitment between the two parties. You do have to be aware though that there are companies that are just in it for the quick buck. Don't ever take anyone's word for it that calls you up and promises the world. The best piece of advice I can give anyone when delving into the market of web design and search engine promotion is if something sounds too good to be true then it usually is.
