Some truth about "get paid" opportunities

When I started searching the way to build home business online, I've found many companies offering money for simple tasks. Maybe you already know their slogans: "Get paid to read emails", "Get paid to surf the net", "Get paid for sign ups" etc. Sometimes they're promoting as "the easiest computer work at home".

I've said to myself: "Wow! There are so many opportunities to get money for very simple job! If I'll join even in 10 of them, I'll get minimum $500 monthly without worrying!" But soon I realized that I was wrong.

Let's look on these "home business opportunities" from ordinary member's point of view. ("Ordinary" means you are not a webmaster or large mailing list owner).
In most cases "revenue sharing" ad companies (also known as sponsors) are small intermediaries between large companies and users. They pay both for
1) simple actions, like clicking the banners
2) recruiting others.

And as I've found, recruiting is much more profitable than actions. But if you have not enough experience and high traffic resources, your payments will be very low. Worse, these companies often set up a very high payment threshold. If the earnings are below threshold, it may be hard to receive check at all! And your entire job becomes useless!

More problems with "get paid" companies
a) They are often unstable financially.
b) They experience a problem with cheating. Sometimes it's unable to determine exactly who is a cheater and who is not. So, you may become a victim of that problem. Your account may be closed, and you will lose honestly earned money! It may be hard to prove that you are not elephant... ;-)
c) Sometimes real scammers appear in that business. They do not pay any money and disappear very quickly.

"Get paid opportunities" are NOT the way to serious home base business!
Yes, they pay some little money to their members. But in most cases it takes too much time to earn paycheck. That's especially applies to "get paid to read emails" opportunities. Think how much time it will take to earn $30 check, even if they send three 5-cent-emails a day?

Things change if you're a webmaster. In that case you can use "get paid opportunities" to make additional income simply putting their links. But wait! There is much more profitable company that allows making THOUSANDS of dollars every month! Do you know its name?
