Colon Health and Constipation

Health/Nutrition Constipation and Partial Constipation

Constipation or partial constipation is very common in the UK and American population. Partial constipation is where you do not have as many bowel movements a day as meals you eat. In other words, if you eat 3 times a day you would expect to have 3 bowel movements a day. Having this many bowel movements is often not usual; but it is 'normal' and indicates a healthy bowel.

Loose bowels are also a problem for many, thanks to inflamed bowel conditions such as colitis, diverticulitis and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). This is the subject for another day.

How to Achieve 3 Bowel Movements A Day

When told that 3 bowel movements a day is 'the norm', many people stare at you as if you were asking the impossible. In fact, by using a very well-known herbal formula, most people - even if their bowels are in a real state - can achieve this within a few weeks and after 6-9 months most do not require ongoing herbal support.

The conditions for achieving this improvement are:

* The herbal formula referred to is taken every day, and preferably:

* Plenty of water is drunk daily - say, 2 litres

* The diet is changed to consist predominantly of non-starchy vegetables and fruit - perhaps 70%

* The abdomen is exercise regularly - eg through sport, yoga

* An 'acidophilus' type of supplement is taken alongside the herbal formula for at least 3 months. This is to supplement 'good bowel flora', which often gets taken over by the 'bad bowel flora' in the bowel.

People do get good results just taking the herbal formula, but more thorough and long-lasting results (for the bowel and for the rest of the body) are achieved by adopting the other measures recommended.

Herbal 'Wonder-formula' For The Colon

The herbal formula referred to is one based on Dr Christopher's 'lower bowel tonic'. This is available from various suppliers under various names. It is based on the herb 'cascara sagrada', or 'sacred bark' (Rhamnus purshiana) with the support of 6 or 7 additional herbs, including barberry, cayenne pepper, and ginger. This formula has helped tens of thousands of people with constipation issues and has generated more praise than any other herbal formula I know.
